The Youth Service in Bridgend County Borough is concerned with the fundamental and personal development of young people between the ages of 11-25. The youth service also provides a range of innovative and diverse range of opportunities that address the identified needs of all young people.

Our Aims

The Youth Service in Bridgend is characterised by strong partnerships between the statutory and voluntary sector. The relationship recognises the critical importance of an integrated approach which enables local authorities and voluntary organisations to provide the broadest range of relevant and vibrant programmes of learning:-

Bridgend Youth Service:

•will address the needs of all young people, aged 11 to 25 in a responsive and flexible way, ensuring an inclusive service.

•will work in an enabling way with young people and organisations to enhance and extend existing opportunities.

•will promote active citizenship, focusing on the issues and concerns of young people.

•will promote educational and social responsibility, leading to the empowerment of young people.

•will consult with young people to identify and address their needs.
