The establishment of Health Watch Groups provides a pro-active approach for Bridgend Community Health Council to gather the view of the local community on local health services.
With support from the residents of the Llynfi Valley, the Health Watch Group provide a means of assessing local health needs, monitor service provision and help towards raising the community awareness of a whole range of NHS issues.
Llynfi Valley Health Watch aims to provide an effective means for the local community to be involved in a positive way in the work of Bridgend Community Health Council to monitor the delivery and development of health services in the Llynfi Valley area.
We endeavour to:
*work with the CHC to monitor the quality the quality, and the level of satisfaction of service users and the public, with local health related services
*involve the public in wider debate about local service planning and delivery
*provide information and advice to the public on health related issues, so as to enable members of the public to obtain the health care they need
*assist in promoting good health in the locality by informing the local community of local health promotion issues.
If you have an interest in these issues the group meets bi-monthly at 7:00pm on the second Wedneday at Central Church Maesteg.
We would be delighted to welcome you.
