Bois Goetre-Hen a`r Cylch was established on the 19th August 2009.

Several months previous, a number of like minded individuals began to visualise the formation of a Male Choir for the Lower Llynfi Valley,
something which this area of the County Borough of Bridgend lacked.

Following lengthy discussions with a number of experienced and well respected Choristers, we came up with some basic philosophies.

• Keep the choir to a manageable size
• Take our music to the community-at-large
• Establish ourselves as a quality musical group
• Encourage less experienced Choristers to grow in ability and musicality
• Share our joy in singing.

One thing was fundamental, and that was to keep the choir ’Ego-Free’.
Our mantra being
’Leave your Egos at the door as it’s the music that matters’.

Our desire is to form a group in which lasting friendships may grow and be nurtured.
Our aim is to bond and enjoy singing, and at the same time, perform to the community, raise money for charity and have lots of pleasure doing so.

We are delighted to announce the creation of

’BOIS GOETRE-HEN A’R CYLCH’

a Male Voice Choir representing Coytrahen, the Lower Llynfi Valley and the County Borough of Bridgend.
