‘Back to the Future’ has been an art & history project for the young people of the Nantymoel area.
Duration: 15th of August 2005 to 31st of August 2005.
It has been the result of partnership working between the following organizations and groups from the Bridgend borough:
Culture & Arts, Out of Schools Learning, Nantymoel Boys & Girls Club, Bridgend Youth Service, the Berwyn Centre, Ogmore History Society, Canllaw Online, South Wales Police and Nantymoel Service Station.
Supported by the Big Lottery Fund.
The aims of the project have been to:
·Engage young people from the area in learning about the history of Nantymoel as well as how their families past connects with that and how it now impacts on them and their community at present.
·Help foster a sense of ownership and responsibility with the young people for the area.
·Create a worth while diversionary activity during the school holiday.
·Encourage positive creative expression and development.
·Promote inter generational interaction and understanding.
