Welcome

The Womens Institute is the largest voluntary organisationin the UK.
It was founded to educate women in
a social environment and encourage them to
take on an effective role in the community.
The ideals of the Womens Institute of
truth, justice and fellowship
are as strong and important in the
21st century as they were 1915 when
the first British WI branch to open
was in Llanfair PG, Anglesey.

Aberkenfig and District branch was formed
in 1981 and celebrated its
30th Aniversary in June 2011.
Our branch covers Aberkenfig,
Betws, Tondu, Brynmenyn, Bryncethin
and Sarn.

We meet at the
Welfare Hall, Heol Persondy,
Aberkenfig,
Bridgend, CF32 9PR
at 2.00 pm on the
second Wednesday of each month
