The picture above shows part of a wall hanging designed and stitched to mark the Millennium by the ladies of Aberkenfig & District Womens Institute.

The Womens Institute is the largest voluntary organisation in the UK. It was founded to educate women in a social environment and encourage them to provide an effective role in the community, to expand their horizons, and to develop and pass on important skills.

Aberkenfig and District branch was first formed in 1981 and is still attracting women of all walks of life and interests.
Our branch covers Aberkenfig, Betws, Tondu, Brynmenyn, Bryncethin and Sarn.

We meet at the

on the 2nd Wednesday of each month
